Australian firm Ecal books Premier League deal

Ecal has signed a deal with the English Premier League for the 2016-17 season.

Ecal, which provides technology that builds interactive digital calendars for both mobile and desktop, will create a ‘Premier League Digital Calendar’, which will allow fans across the globe to integrate interactive schedules for their favourite teams into their personal devices.

“Ecal’s calendar marketing partnership with the Premier League will give football fans worldwide the ability to connect and interact with games at precisely the right times, so they never miss a moment,” said Ecal founder and chief executive Patrick Barrett.

“Fans will benefit from seamless access, and the Premier League can now communicate their schedules better in order to engage fans across the globe.”

The Premier League is the latest high-profile sports property to partner with Ecal. Major League Soccer (MLS), National Football League (NFL) sides New England Patriots and Washington Redskins, and National Basketball Association (NBA) outfits the Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers have all partnered with the technology firm.
